Fatah or Hamas: What is the difference?

As if the conflict between them weren’t complicated and entangled enough, you also have to now worry about the difference between Fatah and Hamas. However, whilst it might seem overwhelming to learn about all these different Middle Eastern movements at once (at least I thought it was), understanding their origin and objective does help to digest the complexity of the current situation.
